If your dates line up with one of these, go! I love the nights where you get local music, food, makers and people actually out enjoying their own town. Event schedules on Maui do change, so I always tell guests to check the current event page before driving over.

Website: https://www.wailukufirstfriday.com/

From Wailuku: walk / a few minutes

From Grand Champions / Wailea: about 35–45 min

This is such a fun one if you’re staying in Wailuku. Market Street comes alive with live music, food, local shopping, artists and vendors. It’s free and easy to wander, and it feels like Wailuku instead of a tourist event.

Good to know: Wailuku First Friday is active again in 2026, but the schedule can skip or change months. Think “usually First Friday, 6:00–9:00 PM,” and check the current calendar first.

From Wailuku: about 30–35 min

From Grand Champions / Wailea: about 15–20 min

This is the bigger Friday-night party: live local music, food trucks/booths, art, crafts, shopping and a keiki area. If you’re in Wailea, this is an easy evening out.

Good to know: Currently scheduled every fourth Friday from 6:00–9:00 PM.

Wailea Village, 116 Wailea Ike Dr, Wailea

Website: https://waileavillage.com/events/

From Wailuku: about 35–45 min

From Grand Champions / Wailea: right next door / easy walk

Wailea Village also has a recurring Sunset Market from 4:00–7:00 PM with local vendors and an easy little evening atmosphere. This is especially convenient for Grand Champions guests.

Good to know: The date changes by month. For example, September 2026 is September 17 and October is October 15, so check the calendar rather than assuming the date.

What about the other old Friday town parties?

You’ll still find older Maui guides that list Lahaina, Makawao and other Friday parties as if they all run every month. I’m not putting them on my “go do this” list unless I can verify a current date. I’d rather give you three events that are actually happening than a long list that sends you somewhere on the wrong night. 😊
