An extended stay is a booking of thirty nights or more. It suits people who need a real home base rather than a hotel room: a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, room to work and a neighborhood to live in. Stays of 180 consecutive days or longer are exempt from Hawaii’s transient accommodations tax, which makes a longer commitment noticeably more economical.
